Time to Get Muddy
Stay tuned for additional details on the 6th Annual Blue Ridge Mountain Mudurance 5K Mud Race at www.raceluraypage.com.
The 5th Annual Blue Ridge Mountain Mudurance 5K Mud Race was Saturday, September 29th at Ralph H. Dean Recreation Park. While the weather started out drizzly and overcast, we are thrilled to say over 300 people registered for this annual muddy obstacle course! Runners took on 3.1 miles of course, 22 obstacles, a creek crossing, 6 mud pits, 1 ice plunge, and a variety of other obstacles designed to test their stamma and ability to overcome their fears and challenges listerally in their way. We had over 100 volunteers who came from both Page County Public School high schools, the James Madison University softball team, and our partners Page Alliance for Community Action (PACA) who helped man the obstacles and guide our runners along the course to avoid injury and getting lost.
